just found this review today, thanks for posting and sorry we couldn't play a longer gig. About the samples, they were there, but maybe not too much audible 'cause of the decibels coming from our amps :o)

Ugh. You know....they say that it's the emo fashion itself that causes teens to self harm and commit suicide. They blame the music, the clothes...the 'suicide cult' that to be honest doesn't even exist. I am considered emo, and let me tell you how much parents and the news have it wrong. First off....yes I have self harmed before. I actually cut myself before I was 'emo'. Becoming 'emo' and listening to the music really helped me let out my emotions and I stopped cutting. Second...you would have to be extrememly stupid and gulible to go from happy to depressed just from becoming 'emo'. usually, there are reasons why the kid goes emo...its not meant to be a stupid fashion statement. And Third...You can take lyrics from almost any song and make them sound bad in some way. Most of the songs that they say are about killing yourself, death, self harm, etc. Usually have lyrics in the same songs that say not to give up or to keep on living. Learn the facts before you talk shit.

Hey, Mono - Wow. In some ways, these pro-life movement comments terrify me. All the usual reasons but also because I lived in the deep south for so long (not my home)and the 'subtext' behind these sentiments (not really hard to read) is common vernacular there.

But in other ways, the surge of 'god and guns' in the Republican party seems inevitable, like an infection that rises to a boil. The American conversation is being forced to address these issues with more articulation versus emotion, which is a good thing, I think. Not that it's likely to end stupidity (creationism, racism, for example, or apathy - lack of voting) but that it has to be done. Or maybe, given human nature, it's just another Jerry Springer show. Good satire in the music, thx :)

Is it sad that the first thing my brain does is go, "Oooh, I recognize that balcony; it's the 501st in the Dragon*Con Parade!"

...

Yup. Can't say much; I'm a big enough geek to have marched in it three times myself, though not as anything Star Wars related.
